STADIUM TURF INSTALLATION

TENTATIVELY BREAKING GROUND JUNE 2021 FOR AUGUST 2021 COMPLETION

The Stadium Turf project would install artificial turf at Vitamix Field at Harding Memorial Stadium. The project comprises several different improvements:

  • Multi-use field turf installation. The field turf would be lined for use for football, boys and girls soccer, boys lacrosse and girls lacrosse.

  • New drainage to support field turf installation.

  • Turf installation on South D-Zone.

  • Asphalt and relocation of high jump and pole vault pit to North D-Zone.

  • Installation of Bulldog Backer wall within the stadium confines.

The goal is to break ground on the turf installation in time for the first home football game of the 2021 season. The tentative timeframe is early June.

In order to meet this goal, engineering on the project must come back and funds must be secured. No school funds (outside of what is already being spent on maintaining the existing grass field) can be used for this project.

We are close enough to meeting the fundraising goal to have donated $49,589 to the school in early March to start that process.
